Altanius orlovi

MORPHOLOGY:
Altanius orlovi is only known from a single jaw bone, so not much information is known (Fleagle, 1988). Based upon the jaw, this individual had a body mass of 30 grams (Fleagle, 1988).

RANGE:
Altanius orlovi was found on the Asian continent in the country of Mongolia and occurred during the early Eocene epoch (Fleagle, 1988).

DIET:
Based upon dental morphology, Altanius orlovi was an insectivore (Fleagle, 1988).
