MORPHOLOGY:
Purgatorius titusi had a dental formula of 3:1:4:3 (Fleagle, 1999). Overall this species had primitive molars and molars with relatively low molar trigonids (Fleagle, 1999). The second lower molars are broad and the third molars are elongated (Fleagle, 1999). This species had an estimated body mass of 62 grams (Fleagle, 1999).

RANGE:
Purgatorius titusi was found in North America, in the state of Montana (Fleagle, 1999). This species occurred during the early Paleocene (Fleagle, 1999).
